The Social Dimension of the Heritage

The International Federation for the Conservation of the Heritage organizes from 1992, and each two years the International Congress of Rehabilitation of the Architectonic Heritage and Edification with the objective of exchanging experiences and fix guides of action in defence of the cultural Heritage.
The 1st. Congress took place in Tenerife, Spain, in 1992; the II was developed in Mar del Plata, Argentina; the III in Granada, Spain; the IV in La Habana, Cuba; the V in Florence, Italy; the VI in San Bernardino, Paraguay; the VII in Yaiza, Lanzarote.
The VIII International Congress will take place in Buenos Aires and Salta, Argentina.
The Social Dimension of the Heritage has been elected as subject of basis for the development of the next Congress.

Remembering Pilgrim Baptist Church

The Chicago Architecture Foundation is hosting a discussion of the lost Chicago landmark, Pilgrim Baptist Church, on Thursday, March 2, 6 pm, at the ArchiCenter in the Santa Fe Building, 224 S. Michigan Avenue. The discussion will focus on both the architectural and historical significance of the church as well as efforts to rebuild.
